Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer and songwriter, whose stories of youthful heartache earned her widespread recognition in the beginning of the 20th century. Swift showed an interest in music at an early stage and progressed swiftly from roles in children's theatre until her first performance before a crowd of thousands. As Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of an Philadelphia 76ers match at age 11 she had already begun creating songs. After that, she took up guitar. Swift was inspired to create her own music by country music artists category, like Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift left Pennsylvania along with her parents in Tennessee to Hendersonville when she turned 13 to devote her time in contacting country labels.
